Physical Therapist moms need community to succeed.

PT Mom Boss provides formal online community options with structured guidance on how to balance #PTlife #Momlife and #Bosslife to avoid burnout and keep amazing women in our profession.

Our profession is over 70% women. It’s time to focus on what women need to create a career and life that brings joy, not burnout.

You need more than a social media group with “good tips”.

Life is rarely equal parts #PTlife #Momlife and #Bosslife and it changes on a daily (hourly?) basis. In order to survive the overwhelm, you need a community that understands AND provides guidance and tools.

The PT Mom Boss Community is for;

  • Women in all stages of motherhood

  • PTs in all practice settings

  • PTs working part-time, full-time, or PRN

  • Student PTs, staff PTs, and PTs in leadership roles

  • PT Moms who want to intentionally create a career and life of joy, not burnout.

Your kids are growing up fast. You don’t have time to do this alone.

#PTlife

We are dedicated to our profession. Professional growth and mastery is a part of who we are. Connecting great minds for clinical questions and discussions is essential. My daughter’s second grade teacher put it best, “the smartest person in the room will always be the room.”

#Momlife

Being a working mom comes with unique challenges, joys, and heartbreak. Even really understanding, supportive dads don’t ever fully feel the pressure of juggling a career and being a mom. This is a community where you can bring your whole self, and there are outlets and conversations about all the mom questions; whether its how to unclog a breast duct, feedback on the ever changing color of your kids poop, or the best kid books to buy, or just a hilarious mom meme…because with kids you just can’t make it up sometimes.

#Bosslife

Maybe you lead a team. Maybe you own your own practice. Maybe you are a Clinical Instructor. The truth is, PTs are leaders. Making sure you have the leadership tools and training to reach your goals is essential. Guess who else you lead? YOUR KIDS. Making sure you have tools and support to lead your kids is just as important as your career.

Start to feel the joy

When you are with “your people” who understand the unique challenges of juggling #PTlife #Momlife and #Bosslife, life gets better. Because you are no longer alone, and you know the next steps to calm the chaos.

Be a mom who is grounded. Balanced. Fulfilled. And doing what you love without guilt.

I know it, because I lived it.

Too many professional mothers are forced to choose between two career paths:

  • Stay in the clinic full time and be more eligible for leadership roles or

  • work part-time and risk being seen as not fully committed to your career growth.

But here’s the thing: both paths can lead to burnout.

Working full time and momming full time? Burnout. Working part-time and not being fulfilled from leadership and growth perspective? Burnout.

But I think there is a third option.

As a mother of young children and a wife of a research vessel captain, I have to design my life to accommodate periods of single parenting due to my husband’s varied work schedule. I successfully dreamed, planned, started, and grew my own cash based physical therapy clinic where I saw clients two days a week, had one administrative day, and spent two days at home.

This part time cash based clinic model allowed me to;

  • be professionally challenged and autonomous,

  • pay myself a reasonable part-time salary,

  • be flexible to get the things done that were important to me,

  • be the mom and role model I dreamed of,

  • and most importantly, not feel like I missed out on the best parts of being a mom. Because even though I will be a mom for life, this time with children at home is precious, and running out. I don’t want to miss it.

Whether you want to open or grow a part-time cash based clinic,

or just want a community of PT moms who understand,

PT Mom Boss is here to help you create a career and life that brings joy, not burnout.

Start creating the life you want to live.

Our profession needs you.

So do your kids.
